How can we help?

Popular questions

You can suggest a change to a memorial (to add more information or correct an error) by clicking the “Suggest Edits” button on the memorial and entering the correct information. Your suggestion will go to the person who manages the memorial so they can review it and make any necessary changes.

Cemeteries:
If you have information that would help us update details about a cemetery on the site, please select Suggest Edits on that cemetery page. Learn more about updating cemeteries at Editing Cemeteries.

Memorial or part of a memorial:
If you find a memorial for an immediate family member on the site that you would like removed, visit the Contact Page and click "Account Question or Support Request." Please be sure to include the memorial ID, your relationship and any other details.

Copyrighted photo:
If you find a photo on the site that violates a copyright that you hold, you can contact the person who uploaded the photo and ask them to remove it or request removal following the steps on our Copyright Policy Page. You can learn more about contacting members here.

Find a Grave is a volunteer project. People add information about cemeteries to the site to help identify the final disposition information of people buried there. We are not associated with the cemetery and don't have any information beyond what the volunteers have added.

For more information about the cemetery or burials within it, you should contact the cemetery directly.

Find a Grave is a volunteer project. People add information to the site by walking a cemetery and taking pictures, or from obituaries, other records or from information they have about family members. We may not have all the burials in a given cemetery, just those that people have added. If you can't find someone on the site, it's probably just because no one has added them yet.

If you know the burial information for someone, you can create a memorial for them by clicking the "Add Memorial" button on the homepage. Once the memorial has been created you can request a photo for the memorial by clicking the "Request Photo" button. If we have volunteers in the area, we will notify them of your request.
