Welcome to Find a Grave! We're glad you're here! As a cemetery owner or manager, you likely keep important cemetery records. On Find a Grave, you can share them with the world and help others in their discovery and research of their ancestors.
Why add cemetery records to Find a Grave?
Find a Grave is the largest online collection of burial records. Adding cemetery records to Find a Grave provides them online, free to public. People can easily find their family members and the information will be available for future generations. Members will work together with you to research and suggest edits for the memorials. Headstone photos can be added as well as other photos. When GPS is added, a person can walk to the grave using the Find a Grave app. Find out more at What is a Memorial?
What is the easiest way to upload records for the cemetery I manage to Find a Grave?
First, check to see what memorials already exist on Find a Grave for your cemetery. Search for your cemetery and then either click the number of memorials or search from the cemetery page to see what memorials we have.
If you can't find your cemetery visit Adding Cemeteries and Burial Types to learn more about adding the cemetery to Find a Grave.
Once the cemetery is added you can Add a Memorial. If you have records in a spreadsheet, then it might be easiest to add them using Upload Spreadsheet. Check out Transcribe Basics where you or the Find a Grave community can upload headstone photos and Transcribe those photos into memorials.
Can I upload the memorials and have someone else manage them?
Sign in to your account and Contact us. We'll need the information below included in the support request.
- Cemetery ID# or link
- Your request to transfer all the memorials you manage in this cemetery to Find a Grave.
Please know, this is a permanent action and that members can 'request to manage' non-famous memorials managed by Find a Grave.
