How do I update a memorial that I manage?

You can update information on any memorial you manage by selecting 'Edit' on the memorial in question. Update the Name, Gender, Birth and Death information, Plot and Burial Coordinates, Inscription, Bio information, or change burial details. For an example, click here.

Fields on a Memorial 

When editing a memorial, fields display with explanations of what is added in that field if known.

• Name Fields
• Gender
• Birth date/month/year/location
• Death date/month/year/location
• Biography
• Burial - Burial location or disposition of remains
• Cemetery plot - Add the plot location in this field
• GPS - GPS location while standing at the headstone (+-dd.dddd, +-dd.dddd)
• Inscription - The inscription field should only include information that is on the grave marker, but you can add any information from the headstone to the inscription field
• Gravesite Details - Details specific to grave marker or site (i.e. description, condition, history, significance of symbols)
• Label as Cenotaph or Monument - Learn more at Cenotaph and Monument Information
• Family Members
• Designate this person as a veteran
• Label this person as Famous - Learn more at Famous Help Questions
